Virtual Bird Camp is an interactive, online program that connects kids to birds and bird conservation. During the programs, participants receive 3 packages with activities to complete. Online sesssions include 2 one-hour gatherings each week, with guest speakers, bird experts, science activities, and discussion. Participants will leave each session with new challenges for the week, bringing back their experiences to share. Our goals for the summer are to learn new bird identification skills, explore bird ecology and behavior, and learn how to help protect birds from home. Get ready to dissect an owl pellet, solve the mystery of the lost egg, and more!
This fall, we will offer new sessions to expand the experiences of our summer participants. Activities for 10 – 12 year olds will highlight research, and our younger groups will continue to expand their bird knowledge.
