The next time you hold a garage sale and want to put signs out around the neighborhood, consider making that sign by hand and with anything but plastic. You might think you need durability, but how long is your event really going to last? Your sale is going to be successful and over before you know it, but if you are concerned about precipitation try a metal sign which you can reuse over and over. Think of it, most signs—yard sales, directional signs, conference banners, car signs, and even window decals—are made of plastic. Instead of taking the easy route of readily available plastics, refuse those and explore your sign options made of paper, cardboard, or other environmentally friendly materials.
