Sometimes when pondering how to help with bird conservation we may feel a bit isolated or unenabled. But each of us has many forums for communicating about the beauty and wonder of birds, to help spark interest and concern about what is happening to them and how we can all help. Whether you feel more comfortable behind the keystrokes of a birding blog or letter to the editor, talking to a group of children, or in the field at a banding station, there are multiple ways to reach out to various audiences in your community to share your love of birds. To help us spread the word about bird conservation, take it one step further and ask your audience members to take some action, no matter how small, to help our feathered friends. We need skills and efforts in both science and communications to make a difference for birds!
